Does it support every camera?
No. Direct extraction supports Nikon type-3 MakerNotes with the documented counter tags. Other makes can use a local ExifTool JSON export. Missing counters remain unknown.
Does zero mean the photo has no counter?
No. Zero is shown only when a recognized field actually contains zero. Missing fields are explicitly unknown.
Can I use a social-media image?
Usually it is a poor source: resizing and sharing often strip MakerNotes. Use an untouched camera file.
Can this predict remaining shutter life?
No. A recorded counter is only one observation. It does not establish service history, remaining life, mechanical condition or authenticity.
